Both my kids (age 10 and 8) have had a fantastic experience at Tyves Taekwondo. They have been going there for past 5 years. Master Badri is amazing in what she does. It’s not just a place to learn taekwondo techniques but also a space to deeply understand the spirit and discipline of the sport. Learning about Poomsae , Sparring, working as a Team , teaching other students as you earn your belt level. TyVes Taekwondo is committed to providing a respectful, welcoming, and inclusive environment where individuals are treated with dignity and given the opportunity to participate, learn, and develop. Our students include children, youth, and adults with different backgrounds, abilities, experience levels, and personal goals. Every participant is expected to treat others with respect, and discrimination, harassment, bullying, or exclusionary behaviour is not accepted. As a private and semi-private dojang, instruction can be adapted where reasonably possible to accommodate individual learning needs and abilities while maintaining the standards and values of Taekwondo. I believe that Taekwondo should bring people together. Every person who trains at TyVes deserves to feel respected, supported, and part of the dojang. Rule of Two (2) safety policy
TyVes Taekwondo is committed to the principles of the Coaching Association of Canada's Responsible Coaching Movement and the Rule of Two. Interactions between the Head Instructor and minor athletes will be conducted in an open, observable, and justifiable environment. As TyVes Taekwondo has one Head Instructor, a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult may serve as the second adult when required. Parents and guardians are welcome to observe training. One-on-one interaction with a minor athlete will not take place in an isolated or closed environment where the interaction cannot reasonably be observed by another responsible adult. Electronic communication with minor athletes will include a parent or guardian, and private one-to-one messaging will be avoided. When travelling with minor athletes, the Rule of Two will be followed wherever reasonably possible. In an emergency or exceptional circumstance where the Rule of Two cannot reasonably be maintained, the safety and well-being of the athlete will remain the first priority. Members Protection/ Safety
The safety and well-being of every athlete, particularly children and youth, is a priority at TyVes Taekwondo. All participants and parents are expected to maintain appropriate boundaries and treat one another with dignity and respect. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, inappropriate touching, sexual comments or behaviour, abuse, or any other conduct that could place an athlete at risk will not be tolerated. Always ask permission before commencing any physical contact during Taekwondo. This includes sparring, teaching fellow student, correction being made and must be appropriate to the activity being taught. Any athlete or parent who experiences, witnesses, or becomes aware of inappropriate behaviour or a safety concern should report it directly to the Head Instructor. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled respectfully and with appropriate confidentiality. Where suspected abuse, criminal conduct, or another serious matter, the meber will be removed from club and if seriuse and requires outside intervention, the appropriate authorities will be contacted as required. No participant will be penalized for raising a genuine concern in good faith. Protecting athletes and maintaining a safe training environment remain fundamental priorities at TyVes Taekwondo. Code Of Conduct
TyVes Taekwondo is committed to providing a safe, respectful, disciplined, and welcoming environment for all participants. All students, parents, and visitors are expected to demonstrate courtesy, respect, good sportsmanship, and appropriate behaviour at all times. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, inappropriate language, or behaviour that threatens the physical or emotional safety of another person will not be tolerated. Students are expected to follow the instructions of the Head Instructor, respect the personal boundaries of others, use Taekwondo techniques responsibly, and follow all established Dojang Regulations. Parents and visitors are also expected to respect the training environment and the students participating in class. Any concern regarding inappropriate behaviour, bullying, harassment, discrimination, or participant safety should be reported directly to the Head Instructor. Serious or repeated violations may result in removal from an activity, suspension from training, or termination of membership. Back-ground Check
TyVes Taekwondo recognizes the importance of appropriate screening for individuals who may be placed in positions of trust or authority with athletes, particularly children and youth. TyVes Taekwondo is currently operated by its Founder and Head Instructor who has acquired background check certificate from Niagara regional police. Should another instructor, coach, or other individual be placed in a position of trust or responsibility involving athletes, appropriate background screening will be required before that individual assumes those duties. Screening requirements will be appropriate to the individual's responsibilities and level of interaction with participants. All screening information will be treated confidentially and used only for determining suitability for a position of trust. TyVes Taekwondo reserves the right to refuse or restrict an individual's involvement where screening information raises a reasonable concern regarding participant safety.
